The Calatrava la Vieja fortress-site welcomed numerous people who gave testimony to the VII Chapter of the Order of the Knights Custodians of Calatrava la Vieja, where the crossing of new knights and the imposition of the distinctive red Silver Cross of the Order took place.

The Archaeological Museum of Lorca has hosted an exhibition of Templar weapons organized by the Order of the Knights Custodians of Calatrava la Vieja
"Lorca, with its rich history, is the perfect setting to carry out this cultural initiative that aims to enhance our medieval legacy"
From May 4 to 30, the Lorca Archaeological Museum will become the epicentre of medieval history with an exhibition of Templar weapons and a workshop for children organised by the Cultural Association of the Knights Custodians of the Order of Calatrava.

Although born in the Malaga city of Antequera, Morente says she feels "Lorcan at heart and by adoption." In Lorca she has raised her family, with her two children and grandchildren, and numerous friends.
Throughout her career, Morente has held the positions of Director of Disability, Family and Sectoral Services and Social Policy of the Autonomous Community of Murcia at different stages, for 11 years.
Her CV also includes having been President of NGOs for nine years. She was a regional deputy for four years in the Regional Assembly of Murcia and a councillor for eight years in the City Council of Lorca. She has written several books, poetry collections and plays.

The international painter Ms. Guillermina Sánchez Oró, born in Ceuta, but who for many years has considered herself Murcian as much as anyone, has held more than 150 exhibitions of her realistic works in various places around the world, including the United States, Mexico and Italy. On September 25, 2021, she made an official donation of the Oil Painting of San Raimundo de Fitero, as well as the Watercolor of Our Lady of the Martyrs.

Dr. José Cabrera Forneiro is a Spanish forensic psychiatrist. He practices clinical psychiatry and private forensic medicine in Madrid, Spain. He is a member of the Spanish Medical Surgical Academy and a trustee of the San Juan de Dios-Bética Guardianship Foundation.
Francisco Jódar Alonso has been awarded the Silver Cross, with Red insignia, granted by the Order of the Knights Custodian of Calatrava la Vieja.

Dr. Francisco Carmona is a gynecologist specializing in Endometriosis, Benign Gynecological Pathology and Laparoscopic Gynecological Surgery. Considered one of the best gynecological surgeons internationally, he has performed the first single-port gynecological surgeries and the first uterus transplants in Spain.
I would like to personally thank from my website the Awarding of the Professional Merit Medal by the Order of the Knights Custodians of Calatrava La Vieja. It is an honour to have received this award for my work related to endometriosis, as it is also a recognition of this disease that affects many women in our country.

On October 5th, at 5:00 p.m., a ceremony to appoint new knights took place in the town of Calatrava la Vieja, among whom were personalities such as Alfredo Perdiguero (deputy inspector of the National Police Force), Francisco Javier Simón (Economist), Daniel Notario (Businessman) and José María Oliva (Pharmacist and Businessman).
The professional careers of Javier Algarra Bonet, Gonzalo Barceló, Xavier Horcajo and our president, were also recognized. Juan Luis Balmaseda de Ahumada and Diez who was awarded the bronze medal with blue badge for professional merit.
The Order of Calatrava La Vieja distinguishes the Civil Guards who participated in Operation Copernicus in Catalonia
On September 28, 2018, the delivery was made Medal of the Order of the Knights Custodian to all Civil Guards who participated in Operation Copernicus in Catalonia on October 1, 2017, all of them from the Ciudad Real Command and surrounding areas.
The winners were 33 civil guards, as well as personalities in the professional field

An emotional and unique act of recognition for different personalities
It all began at four in the afternoon with a Mass at the hermitage of Our Lady of the Incarnation, in memory of the former Master of the village organization, Ramón Ramírez de Verger Morcillo, who recently passed away.
After the mass, officiated by the Chaplain of the Order D. Alejandro Molina, all the attendees traveled to the historic enclave of Calatrava la Vieja and in one of the restored rooms, first of all, the swearing-in of the new Knights Custodians of Calatrava la Vieja took place.
