Dr. Miguel Ángel Darriba González, physician, academic, and humanist, has spent his professional life in Spain and France. He received the Silver Medal for Penitentiary Social Merit in 2016 and is a full member of the International Academy of Sciences, Technology, Education, and Humanities. A lover of history and the current Commander of the Encomienda of Galicia and Asturias of the Order of the Knights Custodians of Calatrava la Vieja, he has generously donated the material displayed at Pambre Castle, providing a rigorous historical overview of the Military Orders of Spain and preserving and perpetuating the origins of our identities.
